The main opposition the Samagi Jana Balawegaya and the National People’s Power have decided to boycott Parliament for a week.

Making a speech in Parliament today, Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa said Parliament had become a talk shop that does not give solutions to the people.

He said all progressive forces in the opposition would boycott Parliament for a week in protest of that.

Premadasa said instead of attending Parliament, his party would join the people protesting against the government.
