A new web portal titled ‘Veterans Job Bank’ was launched by the Sri Lanka Army in a bid to provide employment opportunities to its retired personnel. The web-based job bank was launched by the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage on Tuesday at the Army Headquarters.

The new web portal was designed and developed by the Directorate of Information Technology under the guidance of the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Signals and Chief Signal Officer of the Sri Lanka Army, Major General H.M.L.D Herath and the Director of the Directorate of Information Technology Brigadier G.L.S.W Liyanage.

The new web portal is registered with 13 island-wide companies which will facilitate job opportunities for retired Army personnel.
