Indian HC Hands Over 75 New Buses To SLTB: A Total Of 500 Buses Supplied Through Indian Assistance

The Indian High Commissioner handed over 75 buses to Minister of Transport Bandula Gunawardena as part of its plans to support the transport sector in Sri Lanka.

The buses will be used by the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB), fully owned by the Government of Sri Lanka.

The Indian High Commission in a tweet stated that 500 buses are being supplied to Sri Lanka through Indian assistance towards strengthening public transport infrastructure.

Last year, India released a bailout package of approximately 4 billion USD to help salvage the island nation's economy.
