In a major restructuring move, Sports Minister Harin Fernando has announced the formation of a new 15-member National Sports Council, with Dr. Maiya Gunasekera taking over as the Chairperson. The reshuffle comes with the removal of former Chairman Arjuna Ranatunga from his post.
