Indian Government Invites NPP Delegation, Including JVP Leader, for High-Level Talks and Visits

The Indian government has extended an official invitation to a delegation from the NPP, marking the first time that the leader of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) party, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, has received such an invitation from the Government of India. Vijitha Herath, a member of the National People’s Power (NPP) delegation, confirmed that the delegation is set to depart on Monday morning for a five-day visit to India, aimed at fostering bilateral ties and exploring avenues for cooperation.

The delegation, which includes Herath and other prominent members, is scheduled to visit three cities in India: New Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Thiruvananthapuram. During their visit, they will engage in a series of meetings with government officials, and representatives from various sectors. Additionally, the delegation will have the opportunity to visit centres of excellence in agriculture and industry, showcasing India's advancements in these fields.
