The Medical and Civil Rights Professional Association has issued a fervent plea for an immediate investigation into the alleged misappropriation of funds designated for healthcare from the Indian Credit Line.
Chairing the association, Dr. Chamal Sanjeeva highlighted revelations made by the Attorney General in the Maligakanda Magistrate's Court, suggesting irregularities in the procurement process for medicines using funds from the Indian Credit Line.
Dr. Sanjeeva emphasized the association's persistent calls for the establishment of a presidential commission to scrutinize and hold accountable those implicated in financial improprieties within the healthcare system, drawing upon audit findings presented by COPE.
