ID Offices Open Island-wide for O/L Candidates to Obtain NICs

 

 

 The Department of Registration of Persons has affirmed the continuation of the National Identity Card issuance program for Ordinary Level Examination candidates. Commissioner General Pradeep Saputantri disclosed that district offices in Colombo, Galle, Kurunegala, Nuwara Eliya, Vavuniya, and Batticaloa are operational today to assist candidates in need of National Identity Cards for the upcoming Ordinary Level Examination.
Saputantri emphasized the necessity of the program, noting that some GCE exam applicants for this year are still awaiting their NICs.
He also highlighted that certain exam candidates are yet to apply for their national identity cards. The general examination is scheduled to commence on the 6th and conclude on the 15th.
