In celebration of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War, the Russian Embassy in collaboration with the Russian House in Colombo organized a vibrant concert. Among the distinguished guests was Secretary to the Ministry of Defense of Sri Lanka, General (Retd) Kamal Gunaratne. The event featured stirring performances by both children and professional musicians, showcasing traditional Russian songs and patriotic melodies passed down through generations.

Highlighting the importance of the occasion, certificates and diplomas were presented to participants of the International historical dictation on the Great Patriotic War theme, dubbed "Victory Dictation". Russian Ambassador Levan Dzhagaryan underscored the significance of the Soviet Union's victory over Nazism in 1945, emphasizing the ongoing battle against its modern adherents, particularly in Ukraine, where Russian Armed Forces are currently engaged.
