Overseas Travel Ban on Perpetual Treasuries Chairman Temporarily Lifted

The Colombo High Court has temporarily lifted the overseas travel ban on Geoffrey Aloysius, Chairman of Perpetual Treasuries Limited (PTL). The decision, made by a three-judge panel including Justices Amal Perera, Naml Balalle, and Adithya Patabendige, permits Aloysius to travel to Malaysia for medical treatment.

Aloysius, the sixth defendant in the Central Bank of Sri Lanka bond scam case, has been granted permission to travel abroad from June 1 to September 12. The court has also instructed the Controller General of Immigration and Emigration to be notified of this temporary lift on the travel ban.
