A 34-year-old doctor from Kalmunai Hospital drowned while swimming in the Panama Sea. The incident occurred when waves swept away the doctor and three others, including two women. Lifeguards successfully rescued the other three individuals.

The police confirmed the doctor's death and are investigating the incident.
