Education Minister Susil Premajayantha has announced significant reforms to the Grade 5 scholarship examination, with 30% of the exam marks now to be derived from classroom work in the 4th and 5th grades.
Addressing a school event in Naththandiya, Premajayantha said that the current method of evaluating children's education is unsustainable. The new policy mandates that at least 30% of the scholarship exam marks will be based on teacher assessments over two years.
