Sri Lanka has launched a new initiative to establish "Indigenous Medicine Villages" across the country. This program, announced by State Minister for Indigenous Medicine Sisira Jayakody, aims to tackle the challenges posed by the shortage and high costs of imported medicine. To support this initiative, the government has allocated nearly Rs. 2 billion for the importation of indigenous medicine.
