The Colombo High Court has ordered the suspension of fixed deposits and life insurance policies belonging to former minister Keheliya Rambukwella and his family, totaling over Rs 97 million. The freeze will last for three months.

On Thursday, the Commission of Inquiry into Allegations of Bribery or Corruption took action, freezing 16 fixed bank accounts and three insurance policies linked to Rambukwella's wife, three daughters, and one son-in-law. These measures, which target assets exceeding Rs 93 million, are part of ongoing investigations into money laundering under the Anti-Corruption Act.
