The Meteorology Department has forecast several spells of showers for various parts of the island. Residents of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-western provinces, as well as the Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle, and Matara districts, can expect rainfall.

Additionally, Uva province and the Ampara and Batticaloa districts may experience showers or thundershowers in the evening or night.

Strong winds, ranging from 40-50 kmph, are anticipated over the Western slopes of the central hills and in the Northern, North-central, and North-western provinces. The Trincomalee, Hambantota, and Monaragala districts are also likely to be affected.
