Oil Tanker Capsizes Off Oman Coast, 16 Crew Members Missing including 3 Sri Lankans

 

Sixteen crew members, including three Sri Lankans, are missing after a Comorian-flagged oil tanker, the Prestige Falcon, capsized off the coast of Oman. The Maritime Security Centre (MSC) of Oman, which operates under the Omani Defence Ministry, reported the incident on Tuesday.

The vessel, carrying 13 Indians and three Sri Lankans, capsized southeast of Ras Madrakah. Search and rescue operations are currently underway, though no further details have been provided.
