The Ranjan Ramanayake Foundation has announced a new initiative to distribute free laptops to students in need. The event will take place on Tuesday, July 23, from 09:30 AM to 01:00 PM at the Lotus Hall at BMICH in Colombo.

Supported by Indu Herath from the USA, the programme aims to assist school and university students who require laptops for their education. Students interested in receiving a laptop are encouraged to send their requests via WhatsApp to 077 362 4927.

In 2023, Ranjan Ramanayake, a prominent Sri Lankan actor and former MP, conducted a similar laptop donation programme. With support from the Sri Lankan community in the US, nearly 500 laptops were donated and distributed to students in need.
