At the "Ekwa Jayagamu" rally in Gampaha today (21), Minister Prasanna Ranatunga proposed that President Ranil Wickremesinghe should contest the upcoming Presidential Election.

The proposal received unanimous approval from all attendees, who showed their support with a collective show of hands.
