The 2024 Electoral List has been officially released, announced R.M.A.L Ratnayake, Chairman of the Elections Commission. The certified list is now available on the official website of the Elections Commission and will be printed if necessary.

The date for the Presidential Election will be announced before the end of this week, confirmed a senior spokesperson from the Elections Commission. The commission has already decided on the date, and members of the National Elections Commission are set to convene for a special discussion next Wednesday or Thursday.

The announcement comes five days after the Election Commission was granted the authority to proclaim the Presidential Election date.
