The Meteorology Department has forecasted fairly heavy showers and strong winds for several regions of the island. Showers are anticipated in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as the districts of Galle, Matara, Kandy, and Nuwara-Eliya. Some areas may experience rainfall exceeding 50 mm.
