The Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL) has planed to issue a series of guidelines aimed at government officials and their conduct during the upcoming presidential election.
Commissioner Attorney-at-Law Nimal Punchihewa said that the decision was made by concerns over officials favoring certain parties, which has been seen as a violation of the general public's human rights.
