An International Monetary Fund (IMF) team, led by Peter Breuer, has arrived in Colombo for a staff visit. The delegation is in Sri Lanka to discuss recent economic developments and to follow up on the implementation of targets set by the country's economic reform program, which is supported by the IMF's Extended Fund Facility.
State Finance Minister Shehan Semasinghe confirmed that the IMF team will meet with President Ranil Wickremesinghe today to discuss the progress of the Extended Fund Facility.
