The Election Commission has announced that today, August 5th, is the final day for submitting postal voting applications for the upcoming presidential election. Those who have not yet applied requested to visit their designated district election office before midnight to submit their applications.

The 2024 presidential election is scheduled for September 21. Fourteen candidates have submitted the required security deposit, with eight representing recognized political parties and six from other parties or running independently. Nominations will be accepted on August 15 from 9:00 am to 11:30 am.
