The Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service (SSIFS) in New Delhi inaugurated its first special course for Sri Lankan Foreign Service (SLFS) officers on Monday. The program, initiated by SSIFS Dean Shri Sanjiv Ranjan, welcomed 23 Sri Lankan officers.
The inauguration was attended by the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to India, Kshenuka Senewiratne. This customized short-term training program, offered by the Government of India, is designed for the latest batch of SLFS officers.
According to Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this is the first tailor-made course for Sri Lankan diplomats at the SSIFS. The course, running from August 5-13, 2024, includes an initial batch of 10 new SLFS recruits and other officials from government agencies.
