The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) has reassured the public that its regular bus services will continue without interruption despite the deployment of some buses for presidential election campaign rallies. Chairman Lalith de Alwis said that there have been no public complaints regarding a shortage of buses and confirmed that vehicles serving remote and rural areas will not be diverted for election activities.
In line with a directive from the Election Commission, the SLTB has submitted a report outlining the expenses incurred for providing buses for the election campaign.
