Sajith Premadasa, the presidential candidate for the Samagi Jana Balavegaya, has pledged to lead Sri Lanka’s gem and jewellery industry into a new era of prosperity.

Speaking at a recent event, Premadasa promised to implement new policies to rejuvenate the sector and criticized the involvement of multinational companies through cronyism. 

He highlighted the need for modern technology and assured that his administration would resist financial or privileged influences.
