Postal voting for the 2024 Presidential Election continues today, September 6, marking the third consecutive day of the process. It began on September 4, with postal voting available for staff in District Secretariat Offices, Election Commission Offices, senior police offices, Special Task Force camps, and other key security divisions.
Yesterday and today, armed forces members and government staff cast their votes, with police officers who missed yesterday’s window permitted to vote today.
Commissioner General of Elections Saman Sri Ratnayake said that any postal voters unable to cast their ballots during these three days will have the opportunity to vote at their District Secretariat on September 11 or 12.
