A bus collision in the Nagala area of Bibila last night left 49 people injured. The accident happened on the Bibila-Ampara road when a private bus, carrying garment factory employees, was struck from behind by a Sri Lanka Transport bus (SLTB) as it stopped to let passengers disembark.

The driver of the SLTB bus has been arrested.
