At the "Ranil ta Puluwan" rally in Ruwanwella, President Ranil Wickremesinghe launched a fierce critique against his presidential rivals, Sajith Premadasa and Anura Kumara Dissanayake. Ranil accused them of neglecting their responsibilities during Sri Lanka's economic crisis.
Ranil questioned the credibility of Sajith and Ranil , alleging they deserted the country when it faced severe shortages of food, medicine, and fuel. He highlighted that, unlike his opponents, he took proactive measures to address these shortages and secure international aid.
