The Ministry of Defense announced a firm deadline for civilians to return all firearms and ammunition by 4 PM on November 6. As of this morning, no weapons have been returned to the government’s commercial explosives warehouse, despite an official notice issued 72 hours ago.
The Ministry specified that firearms provided to Members of Parliament for personal security, including repeater firearms, must also be returned.
This recall applies to all firearms and ammunition previously issued for civilian protection, with a total of 1,690 firearms distributed to 1,500 individuals. Firearms will be only issued based on intelligence reports.
