Probe Finds CIS Student’s Suicide to Altair Tragedy

Investigations into the suicide of a 16-year-old female student from the Colombo International School (CIS) have revealed a connection to the earlier deaths of two schoolmates at the Altair luxury apartment complex. The student, who lived in Kollupitiya, fell from the observation deck of the Lotus Tower in Colombo on Sunday evening.

According to police, the Grade 11 student visited the tower after school and jumped from the 29th floor. She was reportedly close friends with the two students who died by suicide at Altair in July. Her father told police that she had been experiencing significant stress following their deaths.

The Maradana Police are continuing their investigation into the tragic incident.
