The Disaster Management Center has reported that heavy rainfall has impacted 34,492 families across 12 districts, affecting a total of 134,484 individuals.

Currently, 6,963 people from 1,753 families are sheltered in 81 safe centers due to the adverse conditions. The weather has resulted in the complete destruction of one house and partial damage to 240 others.

In just the past 24 hours, heavy rains have affected 4,495 individuals from 1,113 families.

The Colombo District reports 40,231 affected individuals, while the Gampaha District has seen the most significant impact, with 80,529 individuals affected.
