Former MP Udaya Gammanpila has published two committee reports on the 2019 Easter Sunday terror attacks, which were commissioned by former President Ranil Wickremesinghe, on his website a short while ago.
Addressing a media briefing, Gammanpila alleged that, according to one of the reports, Public Security Ministry Secretary Ravi Seneviratne neglected his duties when he was the CID Chief. He demanded that President Anura Kumara Dissanayake remove Seneviratne immediately.
He published one of the two reports that prepared by the committee headed by A.N.J. de Alwis on the involvement of intelligence services in the attacks.
He also accused the President of violating the public's right to information by not releasing the two reports.
There should be enough time to study this report. So, I will publish the other report into the Channel 4 Documentary on the Easter Sunday attack on 28 October,He added.
"We will bring an impeachment against the President when we are elected to Parliament this year," he said.
