Sri Lanka Police have removed 130,000 illegally displayed posters and banners ahead of the upcoming General Election.

According to a statement from Police Headquarters, 18 individuals have been arrested for violating election laws, with charges including intimidation and assault.

The Election Commission has also reported receiving 401 complaints related to the General Election.
