The Meteorology Department says showers and thundershowers will occur across several provinces, including Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, North-western, and Northern, as well as in Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts.

Fairly heavy rainfall exceeding 50 mm is anticipated in certain areas of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, and Northern provinces. Additional showers and thundershowers are expected to develop in other regions during the evening or night, with localized heavy rainfall exceeding 75 mm possible.
