The Meteorology Department says that showers or thundershowers will occur in several parts of the island, including the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, North-Western, and Northern provinces, as well as Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts.

Fairly heavy rainfall exceeding 75 mm is anticipated in certain areas of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, and Northern provinces. Showers or thundershowers are also expected in other regions during the evening or night, with similar heavy rainfall possible.
