Three suspects have been arrested in connection with alleged plans for a possible attack against Israeli tourists in Arugam Bay.

All the suspects are Sri Lankan nationals. The police have obtained detention orders to further question them.

The arrests were made by the Terrorism Investigation Division (TID).
