Showers and Strong Winds Expected Across Sri Lanka

The Meteorology Department says that showers and thundershowers will occur across various regions, particularly in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-western provinces, along with the Galle, Matara, and Mannar districts.

Evening and nighttime showers may affect other areas of the island, with fairly heavy rainfall expected to exceed 50 mm in parts of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-western, Uva, and Eastern provinces.

Additionally, strong winds reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h are anticipated intermittently over the Northern, North-central, and North-western provinces, as well as in Trincomalee and Hambantota districts.
