The Railway Station Masters' Union temporary halt their strike to allow for Diwali festival celebrations. The strike began yesterday afternoon and lasted until 10 PM.

Union president Sumedha Somaratne said that the strike will resume if a satisfactory resolution is not reached by the end of today.
