Acting Inspector General of Police, Priyantha Weerasuriya, said that a threat assessment report regarding the security of former Presidents will soon be presented to the Cabinet.
He explained that the report, which is based on recommendations from a special committee tasked with reviewing security arrangements, will help determine whether the level of protection provided to former Presidents should be adjusted.
The report will be submitted by the Ministry of Public Security for Cabinet consideration, which will then make a decision on any changes to the current security protocols.
