The Sarvajana Balaya Party today (17) announced that its leader, Dilith Jayaweera, will be nominated to Parliament from the National List.

The Election Commission (EC) will be informed about this shortly, according to party sources.

Although Sarvajana Balaya did not secure any seats in Parliament through votes in the General Election, it obtained one National List MP position. The party received 24,246 (2.15%) votes Island wide.
