December 26, 2014

Jathika Hela Urumaya Chairman Athuraliye Rathana Thera has said that if Health Minister Tissa Attanayake returns to the opposition he will leave it.

Speaking to local media Rathana Thera has said that he cannot sit down with a person who is involved in forgery. Tissa Attanayake recently released a document which he claimed to be the secret agreement between Maithripala Sirisena and UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe.

Meanwhile the opposition claims Attanayake’s document is a forgery. Wickremesinghe has complained to the Inspector General of Police and Maithripala Sirisena sent a letter of demand to Tissa Attanayake demanding Rs 2.5 billion as compensation.

Attanayake was the General Secretary of the UNP until he crossed over on December 8.
