The common candidate of the opposition Maithripala Sirisena said that under his government the LTTE will not have a chance of revival.
He made this comment speaking at a rally yesterday, as a reply to the government’s claim that the LTTE will rise again with the help of the Diaspora if Sirisena is elected on January 8.
He added that there were many leaders in his camp who have fought the LTTE and who have been attacked by the LTTE. They will never let a revival of the LTTE to occur, he added.
He asked if Sarath Fonseka will let the revival of the LTTE to happen and also asked if monks like Maduluwawe Sobitha Thera and Rathana Thera will let the revival of the organization to happen.
Meanwhile MP Arjuna Ranatunga had accused the government of using even soldiers who have lost their limbs in the war for election propaganda, adding that the government propaganda is so bankrupt.
