UNP Volunteers, a new initiative of the United National Party, was launched on 28th of June 2015 at UNP Party Headhunters Sirikotha. Ratmalana UNP Chief Organizer Upul Shantha Sannasgala and Deputy Minister Dr. Harsha de Silva took part in the inaugural event.

 

Participants of the initiative described it as a positive move by UNP leadership to hand over responsibilities to educated young people so that future leaders will be produced and  groomed.

 

The principle responsibility of UNP Volunteers will be to connect with the volunteers who are willing to support the party and guide them to find a community within the party based on their likes, dislikes and capabilities.
