Former Chief Justice Sarath N. Silva, who backed President Maithripala Sirisena in the recent presidential election, is now attending the special events at former president Mahinda Rajapaksa's ancestral village at Medamulana.

 

Sarath N. Silva was one prominent individual who changed his allegiance within the first few months of Sirisena government. At a recent function he vehemently criticized the establishment of police Financial Crimes Investigations Division.

 

A religious function took place at former president Mahinda Rajapaksa's residence this morning. He is due to make a special statement in a short while.
