Nominations for the general election will be accepted from tomorrow until July 13.

 

Several independent groups have already submitted deposits to contest the election. Furthermore, several political parties have already decided on whether to contest the election alone or as part of an alliance. Several parties have already finished preparing nominations lists and are expected to submit them in the next few days.

 

Meanwhile, the Elections Secretariat has advised political parties and candidates not to act as proxies for others. The Secretariat advises such parties, independent groups or candidates to refrain from contesting the election.
