The next 'Arise with Mahinda' rally, originally scheduled for July 9, has been postponed until the nominations for the election are finalized.

Nominations are accepted from today until July 13.

The granting of nomination to former President Mahinda Rajapaksa from UPFA partially achieved the goal of these rallies organized by his supporters. The rallies were organized to urge President Sirisena to name Rajapaksa as the UPFA Prime Ministerial candidate.

Meanwhile, reports said that the rally will be held after July 13, as the first election rally of the UPFA.
