Deputy Minister of Social Services, Welfare and Livestock Development Ranjan Ramanayake challenges all candidates competing for the forthcoming general election to show their true assets and liability statements to the general public country.
Publishing a video on his official Facebook page, Ramanayake stated that he will contest for the general election with clean hands.
“I have never misuse public money of the people of this country. I’m not ashamed to say that I lived past five years because of the salary that I received from public money,” he said.
He said that he has already submitted my assets and liability statements with true details and added that most politicians will simply provide false statements.
Ramanayake requested general public not to vote for politicians who have records of misusing public property. No matter what their party is, such politicians should not enter the parliament, he elaborated.
