TNA Decides Not To Give Nominations To Rehabilitated Former LTTE Cadres

The Tamil National Alliance decided not to allow rehabilitated former LTTE cadres from contesting under the party ticket.

This decision was taken at the meeting held today in Vavuniya to discuss the strategy for the upcoming parliamentary election.

The TNA said that these former cadres will be considered for nomination at a future election.

However, the former LTTE members were not satisfied with the decision. They decided to discuss the possibility of contesting from another party.

A number of small Tamil political parties are preparing to contest the election.
