Justice Sarath de Abrew, who was to be arrested over an alleged assault on a housemaid surrendered to Mount Lavinia Magistrate Courts a short while ago.

The Attorney General yesterday instructed the CID to arrest him over the alleged assault.

A housemaid who was employed in Abrew's house lodged a complaint recently alleging that he assaulted her. She was admitted to Kalubowila Hospital following the alleged attack.

Sarath de Abrew yesterday filed a Fundamental Rights petition making several requests from the supreme Court.
