Sinhala Ravaya filed a complaint against Minister Rishard Bathiudeen over the recruitment of some workers to the Lanka Mineral Sands Ltd. during an election period.

 

The complaint said that the Minister had violated election law by sanctioning such recruitment.

 

Meanwhile, a tense situation occurred at the Mineral Sands factory at Pulmuddai when a group of recruited workers detained an Administrative Officer who refused to accept the appointment letters since they were signed by a Director and not the Chairman Lanka Mineral Sands.

 

Protests were held today against Bathiudeen at the factory in Pulmudai and the head office of Lanka Mineral Sands at Rajagiriya.
